thank you

Thank you One Kings Lane for making such a beautiful sale!

It takes a lot of work to put together a sale in such a short period of time. Both sides of the collaboration put a tremendous amount of effort and resources into creating something interesting and beautiful, and, I have to say, I am extremely particular about showing my work. How it looks and having everything just the way I want it is important to me. I think that working with artists in a museum for so many years, I have both internalized high standards and learned that if you trust in the artist’s vision to make all aspects the most it can be, the result will be a better, more exciting, and more successful project. As an artist, I have to trust my own judgement. When my work goes out into the world, it is my head on the chopping block — so to speak — so I take the process seriously. I am so pleased that OKL was supportive and responsive.

Something new in my shop:

from the game cam…

We live in the forest and there is a game trail near our house where we have set up a game camera. We have been able to catch on film: turkeys, deer, lots of deer butts, many squirrels, a fox, possum, skunk. No bears yet. Turkeys are my favorite. I love their shape and those colors on the feathers!

Also, if you are in the mood to shop, today there are some great deals over on Poppytalk Handmade, where my work is featured. Just click on the white belly vase, and you will find me.

Also, check out my Etsy shop for a Black Friday/Cyber Monday holiday shopping bonus. I will include two free small, herb-printed ornaments with purchase of $25 or more. See you there!

My cups on Etsy Blog

My chocolate brown 50/50 cups are included in Etsy’s “Guest Pinner” blog series. Erin Dollar has two Etsy shops, one for her handmade linen home goods and one for her artwork. She also has a major following on Pinterest, where she shares images with more than 650,000 followers.

This week, Erin has contributed to Etsy’s blog curating their Guest Pinner board with inspired ideas for gifts under $50 from the blogs and studios of other Etsy sellers. Thank you for including me, Erin.
